A remake of this.

I felt that I really took a dump on this concepts potential the first time I made this. Ever a fan of self improvement, here it is again! And likely, closer to the quality implicated by the thumbnail.

I was going to take care to retain the original wispy feel, but ultimately decided that I reeeally like pink.

right now my brain is going "oh don't make any mew 2 jokes" but its too late, brain
it was always too late

I know that feel. This site always seems to turn my work into squat, mutated blobs of pixellated horror in the thumbnails... kinda wish we had the option to crop the preview image or something. :T

Anywho, I favorited this before; looked great then, looks great now!

The preview image wasn't a problem at all. In fact it was doing a phenomenal job. That was why I updated the picture; I wanted the quality to be consistent.

Shading carries the picture through its first impression. It's what counts when your viewer first sees your artwork- the first thing your brain does when it sees something is blend colours and shadow into form. At best effect, an artwork creates an idea that inspires closer inspection.

Detail/subtle forms comes next, and is a respectable means of holding attention- this is where I initially failed to provide. The preview inspired, but when one looked closer, it was a ten minute sketch. It was a nice sketch, but could be a lot better. The impression I got from the stats was that people were leaving quickly after they did not get what they imagined and expected to see.

I wasn't obligated to do anything about that of course, alas I am young and enjoy proving to myself that I can. Everyone's happy. I'm glad you still enjoy it too!

Ah! My mistake. I see what you're saying now, and of course, it's quite astute. Kudos for having the motivation to strive for your artistic goals, no matter how nitpicky they might seem to some (I can certainly relate). :>

nice edit in brightness and contrast, I can tell how you edited it and how :3

it was fun to go back and fix! I actually changed it a lot, but paid mind to retain the original placements, so it isn't all immediately obvious.
